Very well taken park with different gardens with free entrance and not so crowded. Perfect for picnics or just chill under the sun or under the shade of one of the many trees. Dogs are welcome as long as on a leash. There's quite a few cats as the city hall has some food and housing for them though all very neat. Bring some crumbs to feed the ducks at the lake! Also, right across the street there's a nice belvedere with view to the christ king and the Lisbon's golden gate Bridge for photo opportunity. It's inserted in a typical local neighborhood and close to the starting or ending stop of the iconic tram 28.

Beautiful park which is strangely not so popular. It is very quiet, and you can see an area with a huge cactus garden. Good for a walk!

This park is a hidden gem. It’s beautiful, pleasant and family friendly. The two less good things about it are the parking situation and its close to abandon state. Parking in that area is hard because there aren’t many spots available. Inside, the trails are in need of some care and it’s sad to see the abandoned buildings that if restored could be a very special addition to the park. They could be offices, NGO headquarters, or a simple coffee shop are all some ideas for those buildings.

Amazing abandoned giant garden of humongous cacti. Of course it's not perfectly in shape, especially the plants. But the roads and walking ways were clear. It has an entry that you can't find at first, it is very inconspicuous. The visit was a very much needed break from all the tourists, it's very quiet with a few stray cats. So go there secretly! Don't tell the tourists! I don't think it was dangerous but maybe don't go alone in case you injure yourself.
