  A nice little beach, close to the marina, named after its proximity to the Fort of Santa Catarina, which defended the Mondego River bar since the 16th century. With the construction of the two port piers, fifty years ago, which caused the Ocean to retreat over one kilometer, it has become a peaceful and protected beach. In the summer months, a simple wooden bar is raised, from where you can enjoy the sunset while having a drink.
