  The hotel is impressive. It was built in 1509 and it is located near to the city center. The check in was too slow. The staff was kind and helpful. The breakfas was tasty.

  We were very happy with our stay at Casa Melo Alvim. It is ideally and centrally located in the town. We loved the rustic "castle" like decor of the hotel and the rooms. The staff was very kind, bilingual and helpful. The breakfasts were wonderful and delicious!

  Beautiful hotel with quiet and comfortable rooms. The staff are very attentive, friendly and informative. Great base for Northern Portugal and a lovely traditional Town for moderate eating and drinking.
