  This could be a great hostel; but it is not. The location is okay but the venue itself looks awful and old. I spent one night alone in a dorm room (very few tourists in March). There are lockers but they're all broken so they can't be locked. Answer of the receptionist: "it's okay, you're alone". Yeah... Not a very professional answer; what if I were not? We are literally three customers in the entire hostel. Though, the bathroom are not really clean, the mirrors are awfully stained, one of the bathroom isn't working but no sign tells it so one would notice it after... Oh, and there's no hot water from the bathroom basins/sinks. Forget about the included breakfast. It consists of bread that's almost gone off, marmelade and tea (if you ever manage to find the tea maker or tea ball - never found either).

  Good cheap hostel, just a bit cold as there are no heaters. Very basic bfast but nice and helpful staff.

  Average hostel. Staff were friendly and good atmosphere. Cheap mixed dorm with basic bed. The cleanliness let the hostel down mostly.

  Manuel is a great and friendly guy. Coimbra itself isn't really that interesting but the hostel is a great place to chill

  Price really good. Good position too.
