  Maybe if you can see the semi-open collections will be interesting. The permanent exhibition is small and is very diverse, not really telling a story.

  Off the beaten path and not very big, but the permanent collection has some very interesting pieces and there are temporary exhibitions as well. Very calm, definitely worth a visit.

  The exhibitions are interesting, and worth the visit. However, make sure you're there in time for the guided tours to the collections (which normally are closed to the public)! The guides speak English, but knowing some Portuguese doesn't hurt. The unique collection of wooden agricultural implements demonstrates the transformation of Portugal in the last 60 years in an eye opening way! The food in the snack bar is "home made", and worth a try.
